Breaking News- OHS Harmonisation Delayed in Victoria for 12 Months

The Victorian Government has advised WorkSafe Victoria this morning that it will be delaying the implementation of the harmonized Model Work Health Act by 12 months. This is a sad day in Victorian politics as there has been no consideration for the work done by companies to prepare for this change and the commitment of both workers and employers to improving health and safety AND making life easier for employers across the country by having standard OHS legislation.

However as Simple OHS Solutions has been saying all along this is not the beginning or end of the world, as the politicians may think. We will keep on doing what we are doing to ensure our clients are improving their health and safety for the benefit of their businesses, workers and protecting themselves. Politicians come and go but our commitment to making safety simple and effective will continue.
